The Chronicles of Arn: Swords of the North

AD 500. THE DARKEST DAYS OF DARK AGES BRITAIN.

Arn devotes his days to trading along the valley of the River Duabs (today’s River Tweed). He bothers no one, no one bothers him.

Until, one day, a brutal Bernaccian warhost sweeps north, overwhelming the Gododdin lands south of the Duabs – and bringing a terror of looting, enslaving, and slaughter. Most Gododdin warriors are far away, encamped in a winter’s huddle at Dun Edin. With early spring snowmelt flooding the Duabs, no news of the invasion can get across the river to Dun Edin. No help can come.

In a sizzling story of courage, honour, betrayal, and cowardice the clash of swords and galloping of hooves drives the teetering world of the Gododdin to the brink. Can Arn save the kingdom? Does he even want to?
